Sorry for the delay in the posts readers, but I’ve been away for a family engagement in the Bay Area for the last few weeks. Here is a little preview post of an event that I have been waiting to attend for over 2 months!
If you love food, live in Southern California and haven’t been under a rock for the past year, then you know what is coming up this Saturday. For those of you who don’t(and I’m honestly questioning why you don’t)…. It’s the first OC Foodie Fest!
Located at the Honda Center in Anaheim, this festival – the first of its kind in Orange County- will hold 50 local, gourmet food trucks catering to 8,000 people from 11:30 in the morning all the way until 7:00 in the evening.
Pubilicity and ticket sales have been exponentially increasing after a similar festival in Pasadena just a month ago. Unlike this previous event, the OC Foodie Fest will be holding a shopping area, kids entertainment section as well as an artist section for the festival goers that get too full too fast or just need to step away from the trucks.
One intriguing part of this festival is the emphasis to local music and dance, with bands like The New Limb, Seedless and The Relative Strangers performing throughout the festivities. Dance acts include Team Millenia from Fullerton and The Beat Freaks from MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew (ABDC).
The word around the block(I hear) is that it’s going to be on a whole other level compared to the previous event. You’ll have to find out yourself this Saturday, August 28th! Tickets are still available at the festival’s website! For more information, visit ocfoodiefest.com.
Don’t hesitate or you might just regret your decision after you see the deluge of TwitPics and Facebook albums in the days after the event! I’ll see you there!
